    Para P12 45acp

What do all you guys think of the Para P12. A guy at my work is selling one for $500. I am looking at it tomorrow and I will probbly buy it. I use to have one years ago but sold it when I was into other handguns. I figured $500 is not a bad price.

I took the P12 out to the range today and put 300 rounds down the tube. It is very accurate but the recoil did make my hand sore so I stopped at 300 rounds. The slide also did not lock back after the last round was fired a couple of times. I think this happened because I ride the slide release when I am shooting 1911's. Over all I am very happy but this is not the kind of gun that I would put 500 rounds down range in one single session. The sights and safeties are great and the feel of the gun is great. I am carrying it in my full size 1911 IWB holster and it feels good and it weighs 44.2 oz's fully loaded with 230 grain hollow points with one in the pipe. The P12-45 Limited Stainless is a keeper.

They are very nice pistols and you got a great deal. The only complaint I ever hear about is that their Paracote sucks (and it does). You don't have to worry about it.

I shoot a Para for IPSC matches and it runs great.

I had the same problem with my Para Warthawg for a while, the slide would fail to lock back after firing the last round. I took my gunsmiths advice and replaced the slidestop and the followers on my magazines. No more problem, the slide locks back when the magazine is empty now.

I have to agree with those above. The one I had shot great, was easy to carry and I never had a FFT or FTE after well over 500 rounds. Wish I still had it.
