How do you load your mags for defensive carry ?

Just wondering, as I load my mags with alternating ammo, JHP is first round out, then I alternate with FMJ< JHP<FMJ .... i so this for the penetration factor of FMJ, such as car windows, doors, heavy clothing, ect... does anyone else do this, or am I a litttle to the left here ? Would appreciate any input.

I asked my stock broker the other day, what I should be investing in ....his reply, canned goods n ammo !!!

    Normally 180 grain .40 S&W Federal HSTs.

I think alternating types of ammo has no provable advantage.

What's the point of alternating? If you are that concerned with penetration, you are carrying the wrong load or caliber to start with. Professionals carry all the same ammo.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

all hollows, you open yourself up to liability by carrying FMJ's in anything other than a .45 which is designed to shoot fmj's. If it overpenetrates and kills someone you are screwed.

Any HOLLOW POINT that feeds reliably in your gun. My favorite is Speer Gold Dots, specifically .45acp 200+P. How can you beat a .45 travelling at 1080 fps with 518 f/lbs of force?

I stick with one brand, one type of ammo. I don't hold with the "magic bullet" theory. My main desire is to be able to hit what I aim at. I don't care so much what the bullet looks like.
