can anyone give me a good reason to own one of these?
I have one and love it. Excellent trigger. If you want /need a revolver I highly recommend it.
one thing I noticed is the trigger pull doesn't seem as heavy as a lot of other DAO rovolvers. would you agree or am i just remembering incorrectly?
I just bought one in .357 mag. The trigger is really nice for a factory DAO. I got mine for $449 at Gander Mountain...they had it priced wrong. I just couldn't pass it up. Now to maybe put a new sight on it and order a holster from Jeff Hays (Hays Holsters.)
It's a gun; isn't that reason enough to own one![]()
I held one for the first time today. I held the .357 version, and I can attest to the fact that the DAO pull is quite short compared to my Smith. Very light and smooth. It was quite nice to hold as well which is an issue with a lot of the smaller guns, and now I want to shoot one.
I also like the sights on it. They were quite easy to see with compared to some of the other pocket guns I've held.
It was not at all what I expected. I'm not certain whether I like the Ruger cylinder release vs the S&W one, but on the LCR it was very easy to work one handed which is not as easy to do with my Smith. Then again, I am comparing a small revolver to my big N-frame one, so take that for what it's worth.
You remembered correctly. I should have said I have the .38 with the non-laser grip
Oh heck, I have a whole list of those that I use for every firearm purchase.
I'm now on Excuse #41 - "My other one like this is lonely and needs a friend."
or maybe try #42 -"I really need something smaller than my larger gun and larger than my smaller gun" (I use this one about every 3 or 4 purchases just because it confuses the accounting department so well!
1. Light weight
2. Nice DAO trigger pull
3. Its a gun
4. You can never have to many guns
Merry Christmas and God Bless![]()
good reasons to buy and great excuses.
we should make a sticky with excuses for the significant others. could get a real good list going.
- I agree!
- You shouldn't need excuses. Man up.
If that's not an option, here are magazines with great advice.

how dare you sir!
No manning up over here. Only gets you in trouble.
As an aside she lost track of what I own a long time ago. Keeps thinking the new guns are old and the old ones new. She may notice know one or three coming through the door.
