Merry Christmas To Me! Used S&W 649 (New To Me)

I just picked up a used (new to me) S&W 649 Stainless, .357MAG snubbie 2.125" barrel, shrouded hammer. It's in very good condition. I've been looking to add one of these to my arsenal for a while now. Just so happened I stopped by the local gun shop and she had been orphaned by her former owner. I was happy to adopt her!

I will post pics soon. I am looking for some gunleather to accompany her. Guns always look better with a holster.

The problem with adoptions is you find out how much they eat. If allowed this one will eat a lot!

    Question.

How does one go about determining the sex of a S&W J- frame?

I like the notion of the Model 649. All-steel and a shroud giving pocket protection to the hammer spur. Offers the choice of double-action and single action capability. And, all in a very compact package.
