"no kidding, gun slinging, spurs hitting the floor"
I just took my Ruger sp101 2 incher out for some live fire exercises. Now mind you I have never shot a 357 magnum before. I started off with some 38 +p loads and said hmm thats got some kick. I then put in 157 grain magnums and the gun almost hit me in the head. Wow 357 is powerful.
One more step and it's on!
Erik at SGH makes holsters for the 3" sp101. I have one of his for my j-frame and it is an Excellent holster. Side Guard Holsters - Home Page of Custom Leather Holsters
I remember when I was looking for a holster for the 3" sp101, Bullard had one, though I've not purchased one of their holsters. Gun Leather, Concealment and Cowboy holsters, Azle, TX.
I think there's a holster makers sticky on this site. A zillion different people can make you a holster that doesn't say "Uncle Mike's" or "Galco" on it.
You bought a very, very good arm. Take some time and find a good holster. They are out there. BTW, don't disgard ebay as a source. i have scored two or three holster deals there and saved 30 or more percent.
