Disgusting.....the gun was totally ruined by having the slide refinished. Since I'm still in the Christmas spirit, I'll be nice enough to take the eye sore off of your hands. After all, can't let a fellow DC member be seen carrying something that looks like that!
Congrats on the new to you gun. Let us know how she shoots.

The original billboard gun...
I figured I'd post a picture of the same gun with the billboard logo, so people could make a comparison. I think the gun looks better without the billboard, so I prefer your gun to the original.

Very nice pistol, congrats. Definitely looks better without the billboard. 4" barrell correct? Have to let me know how she shoots. I'm torn between a 3" and a 4" 1911 myself.

I too am interested in the accuracy with the likes of Speer 230 gr HP Gold Dot.
See how easy it was for me to spend your money?
I really am interested in the performance of this gun.

Thanks guys for the comments! She shoots great, recoil is about the same as my father's colt officer's acp which is very manageable. Gun is pretty accurate, I rapid fired a whole mag (8 rounds) at 7-8ish yards and they were all in a 3" or so (didn't measure) group. Probably could be improved from that as I am not the best shooter out there, but still good enough. I can't wait to get her out again, Santa brought me 100 rounds and a gift card to the range! The best part is that she carries like a dream. I've carried polymer and steel, single stack and double, and I can say this is now my favorite carrying weapon. It's sooo slim and pretty light compared to full steel compact 1911's (OACP) and Sigs. Jlis914 -it is a 4.25 barrel; True commander. I have carried a 3.5" officers and now this commander and if I had to choose again...commander all the way. IMO the commander sized 1911's are the perfect middle ground between govt. models and 3" or 3.5" 1911's. LOVE the feel of it.

Oh and Ramjet, I am carrying Speer Gold Dot 230 grain in the gun right now. I haven't shot these rounds out of it yet though. I know, I know, I should run at least 500 through it before its safe to carry but, it's the only carry ammo I have at the moment and will be running plenty through very soon.

^ I bet, you have the updated version with a nice factory roll mark. My gun was discontinued because of the hideous roll mark and re-marketed as the sw1911pd. The new sc's are sweet though. Matter of fact, all s&W 1911's are sweet. nice gun.
