    New Ruger SP101

Well Santa Brought me a new Ruger SP101, Stainless 2 inch barrell 357 Mag. I have only had time to run 15 rds through it, But I am fairly impressed with this little wheel gun so far. I seem to shoot it far better than some other snubbies I have owned.
Anyone Have one What do you think of it as an EDC?

Santa is a nice man. Congrats on the new piece. I do not have this gun but am contemplating putting it on my "soon to get" list.

Congrats on your new Santa toy. The SP101 is my regular carry (not deep conceal). The little revolver rides well OWB.

Wounder how a 357 mag would fair against black bear? Really looking for a versatile gun for CCW and Woods carry so far looking at the Ruger alaskan and or S&W 629 44 mag snub. The SP101 looks really good too just wounder about the round?

I carry a 3" SP101 every work day in the field. In the last 15-16 months, I haven't found any reason to complain. It's been on the edge of perfection for my needs.

Great revolver! It is pleasant to shoot with the 357 round and solidly built. Can't go wrong with that one, congrats on your Santa present!

I've been carrying that gun for 17 years, and I agree it's a great gun. Have fun with it.

I have a 3" SP-101 I carry alot in black bear country. I load it up with Buffalo Bore hardcast rounds. I think it would put a hurtin on a black bear. 99.99% of the time they run from you anyway. That said my next woods gun/CC will be a Glock 29 in 10mm.

    Congrats on the SP101.

I bought one for my wife a little over a year ago. She loves it. An extremely high quality firearm that will last forever.

if you are wanting to totally piss off a black bear I am sure a 357 round from a snubbie would do the trick. personally I would much rather have at least a 10mm. in bear country.. a 12 gauge would work well also
