Kimber grip safety sticking
My fathers Kimber has been in the safe for a while. When he took
it out to show me, I noticed the grip safety was sticking. The gun is
about a year old but has maybe 100 rounds fired in it . Has anyone
else had this problem with a Kimber and is this a major problem?

If it's been in the safe for a while it might just need a good internal oiling.

Major problem? I'd say Yes! This is one of your safety features that is not working properly.
I do remember on the 1911 forum about this being a problem for some in the past but don't remember the details of it.
I would do completely strip the Kimber, clean it, lube it and put it back together and see what happens. If still sticking I'd take it to a good local smith and NOT send it to Kimber. Sending it to Kimber will cost you $60.00 in shipping and no guarantee that it will be right when you get it back. I know of many who have sent Kimbers back multiple times for repair on there dime before they fixed the actual problem.
My Kimber's are fine with this by the way, no problems.
