    Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

    My results:

    Hornady CD 110gr .38+p ave 978fps, 265 ft-lbs

    Hornady CD 125gr .357 ave 1221fps, 414 ft-lbs

    Winchester 125 gr Silvertip .38+p ave 909fps

    I'm planning to try Gold Dot Short Barrel stuff although Speer's published data is not much higher in .357 vs +p. The Critical Defense .357 was harsh in my LCR, follow up shots would be difficult for me. Sticking with +p for now.
    Life is too short to shoot ugly guns.

    Zephyr,
    I just picked up a box of the Speer GD short barrel 135gr magnums, havent shot it yet. I figure it gives a bit more punch than the 38 +P but wont be as punishing as the full power loads. Hopefully anyway. If you shoot it before I do please post your opinion of it. Comparison on Speers site:
    38+P 135gr Muzzel Vel 860 ft sec energy 222 ft lbs Part # 53921

    Zephyr,
    I got to shoot the 357 Speer GD 135gr Short Barrel. I think this is a great carry round, its hotter than the 38+P and as expected has more recoil, it's nowhere near as nasty as the hot 357 loads. It was actually comfortable to shoot and has now replaced the 38+P Speer GD 135gr Short Barrel as my carry round. Incidentally I tested it out of a Ruger LCR.

    Don't worry about the test with just a lcr357 You really want ammo test in general.
