1) SIG P-series

Highly subjective in that it really depends on the person.... But, for the sake of conversation...
1) CZ 75 P-07 Duty
2) CZ 75b
3) Glock 19

There are just too many great brands and models to list, and that's a good thing. I own many and when I begin to get used to them, become good with them I realize it's not so much the gun, but the shooter. Revolvers aim and point shoot incredibly well under 20 feet. A 1911 with checkering feels best to me with single stack grips, and point almost as good as revolvers. It's taken me a while to shoot the polymer XDm grips like I could the 1911 but with grip tape and practice I'm spot on, again. I think Glock customer service for someone living in N Georgia is pretty incredible. Shot an H&K my cop friend can get me for $400 the other day and wow what a killer gun. I own some Sigs I really could never part with. This is why I stay away from gun stores on payday. If I was going to war or SHTF I would settle on a caliber of ammo I would most likely find on the dead bodies of my enemy.
Georgia, from the looks of your AR in your picture, I believe you and I have the same taste in them... Love it

Like most of you, I really like my .45 Colt 1911 commercial.
However, if I were really going into armed combat (unlikely at age 72?), I'd take my 9mm S&W Model 5906. Its advantages over the 1911 are twice the magazine capacity, and the double-action feature.

MY personal favorites would be
1. Colt Commander .45
2. Any number of Government 1911 .45's (Colt, Wilson, STI, etc...)
3. Glock 21
4. Glock 19/23/32
5. HK USP .45
I'm assuming this is to be a secondary weapon, not a primary. My primary would be my AR or shotgun, depending on the situation. If the handgun is to be a primary....then that probably moves the Glocks up on my list. The 10 round CM mags are great but still can't touch the 13 round Glock .45 mags or 15-33 round Glock 9mm mags.
