Anxiously awaiting my new Sig SP2022

With the assumption that it was waaay out of my price range I hadn't given much thought to buying a Sig. I stumbled across some threads about the SP2022 and did some more research and found out that this well proven and highly respected, yet reasonably priced pistol was definitely in need of joining my little arsenal. I just purchased a 9mm version with night sights from Buds and can't wait for it to get here.

Maybe when you get it, you'll need to change your avatar huh?

I also see a new avatar coming. You have stumbled across a great little gun there. Check out the SigForum if you haven't allready and you will see how many people like this gun. Good choice and enjoy.

Ive had a 2022 40 for around 6 years, and a 229 40 for about 2 years, one thing I like about the 2022 is an internal extractor,my 229 has had a few case failures and on 2 occassions has blown the extractor off,It's about $50.00 to replace the parts.
If you don't need a new gun and don't mind guns that have been carried a lot shot a little then Sarco, Inc., Firearms, Firearms Parts and Accessories has used 226 9mm for 325.00 to 475.00 depending on condition, and some 228 9mm for 275.00 to 375.00 depending on condition

The good news: you are buying a SIG.
The bad news: you will buy several more.

They are addictive. The accuracy is unreal. Smooth as it gets. Well done.

i have the Sig Pro SP2022 in 9mm. Great gun and accurate. Love the trigger. No FTF and fired so far 1kish rounds. and i fed some really crappy ammo i got for cheap. Sweet range gun. Little heavier than the Glock 19 but excellent pistol overall. Oh ya my avatar shows Bourne using a SIG Pro 2022

I believe the newest versions have the external extractor as well as a loaded chamber indicator... I have read a lot about these changes not being very well received by some but I don't think I mind.
