I hope that they make this in other calibers also. Then maybe Glock will follow suit and make some single stack guns too.
I really can't stand the XD/XDm line of guns.

My understanding is that 9mm and .40 will follow soon. Would be nice if Glock followed suit but they don't chase the consumer market so they probably won't. I have a Springfield XDSC 9 and love it. Shot a Glock 26 at the range before I bought it and hated the way it felt in hand. Doesn't make one better than the other though, just glad to have an alternative. Different strokes!

Nice! Looking forward to giving this a try. During the Springfield test Drive Event for their XDm 5.25 They had a survey and asked what would we like to see them produce.

My answer was a slim, single stack 9 or 45. Maybe someone "is" listening.

My brief comparison (based on number pulled from various sources, so dimensions may not agree with other measurements from other sources of information).

Overall volume-wise, the XDs is one of the smallest, but that weight (if correct, and it's what's being reported all over), is a killer for pocket carry.

What I'd really like is for someone with some better quality control to tweak the PT145 design and come out with something in that size, with that weight and capacity.

I too felt the Glock to be uncomfortable, however, have not shot one since gen 2 so I don't know if they have improved. I Love my XD though. I really hope they make a single stack.

I agree it is a typo!! My XD compact with 13 round mag (empty) and 4 inch barrel is 29 oz. This gun is deffanetly 20 oz or less!!!

Hmm, reminds me a lot of my PPS

Hmm... Good looking gun. I wonder what the capacity for a 9mm would be.

For you XD loyalist out there this might be of particular interest if you've be looking for a small stick of dynamite for concealed carry.

Its a single stack .45ACP that holds 5+1 and has a 3.3" barrel

    Is only 1" thick.

    Weighs in at 29oz.
