My guess is that the 29 ounces is a typo or that is the weight fully loaded with 6 rounds. God Bless![]()

29oz is correct per Springfield.

This just might get me to part with my current XD. I'm not gonna pocket carry, so 29 isn't bad. And in my opinion, one of the short falls of many small guns is too light of a slide, making them grip sensitive. Maybe this XD won't care???

Since my lovely wife bought me two boxes of 45ACP ammo for Christmas and I dont even own a 45 (bless her heart she dont know much about guns). It must be destined for me to have one. I will check out this XD for sure.

Ruger SP101 .357mag

Ruger Single Six
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 45 Colt
Mossberg 835 Grand Slam
I'll definitely be following this...and waiting for the 9mm.

fhbrumb....I don't understand your logic, if you're not going to pocket carry, why reduce the number of bullets you can carry loaded by replacing with this gun?
too heavy,weighs over a pound.........NO THX......
There are other single stack 45's that are THINNER...and have a HIGHER capacity and WEIGH less, so if you're trying to reduce the size of your weapon with this gun there are other options if your not going to pocket carry.

Hell I'd pocket carry a 45, lol.My EDC is an XD 45c though, which is a pretty large and heavy gun so I'm used to size and weight. I've long since abandoned any notion of trying to carry comfortably like toting around a fluffy bunny. I carry what I shoot well with and what makes me feel good, and thats a big-ass gun.
This XDS would be my version of "deep concealment", lol.
