    Sig factory services?

Has anyone sent their Sig back to the factory service? Like the trigger job? I have a 220 that I am thinking about sending back for a trigger job, satin nickel the slide, and maybe a shorter trigger.

What has been your experience with the trigger job? Is the trigger pull noticably lighter and smoother?

While I haven't sent anything back After a few years following SIGForum.com I have seen very few negative comments.

I'd say if you want work done ........ Go for it!

Thanks. I love the two tone look and the DA 1st pull would be great if it were about 1 pound lighter. The reach isn't too bad so I don't know if I need the shorter trigger or not.

I'm sure the Sig factory does great work and I wouldn't hesitate to send it there. Just wondering if the trigger jobs really do anything. I have never handled a Sig with a trigger job so I don't what one feels like.

Never had to have a trigger job done on my P229...but did send the slide back to replace a broken extractor (catastrophic failure with a bad case). Had the slide back in 10 days--even replaced all of the pins and springs, gratis.

Can't go wrong with a factory job from SIG.

Hey there Chris.........Thanks for the plug!
Since I work at Sig, and see what the Custom Shop guys do with the guns, I'd say that you'll be in VERY GOOD Hands!

I'd suggest that you might want a short trigger placed in the gun, along with the actin tuneup you'll recieve via the replacement parts.
The guys will go right throught your gun, and repair/ replace the worn parts mainly as a CS procedure. I think you'll only need to pay for shipping and the procedures you request. They'll do the rest! Who knows .....I may even get to see your gun
