I have a Glock 26 and it is perfect for pretty much anything. For ease of concealment, at least for me the biggest issue is the height, and G26 at 4.17 inches or so is relly easy to conceal and cofortable to carry. Of course any Glock will be an excellent choice. Some people prefer other calibers. Glock offers more choices than most manufacturers. My other compact is the Glock 29SF 10mm.

one of these two....factory Glock mags with finger extension required on the G26......really makes the gun.
Give to them according to their deeds and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; give to them according to the work of their hands; render to them their deserts. Psalm 28:4
The 26 gets some carry time along with the 19 and 36. On duty it's the 23 and 27. My 26 is the only OD Glock that I own. She is a sweet shooter. I love my .45's and .40's, but that 9mm allows for ridiculously fast follow up shots.
What I like about my 26 is that I can carry a spare 19 mag on my belt and have some 17 and 18 (33rd) mags in my bag.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
O.K., if you're going to ask...EXCELLENT CHOICE!

G19 every day. It's worth a look too. The only real difference for carry is the grip length.
I prefer to live dangerously free than safely caged!

I'm carrying one right now. I think it's a great carry gun. It's fun to shoot, reliable as gravity, slightly easier to conceal than the G19 (which is also in the contest for best carry gun ever), eats about anything you put in the magazine, very low maintainance, and light enough that it doesn't drag you down. What do you think of the Glock 26 for carry?
I'd like something slimmer for summer, hoping the P938 will be that gun but haven't seen one yet.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety), by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” by H. L. Mencken
My Glock 26 gets carried about 80% of the time, with a Glock 30 (.45acp) getting a good percentage of the rest of the time.
You just cannot get better than a Glock - affordable, tough, accurate and great customer service.
You will LOVE the G26!!!
I carried a G26 for a few years. Very nice EDC. Kinda wishin I would've kept it.

Why would you want a Glock when you have a 1911?
