    GLOCK

If I'm not thinking about guns, I'm purchasing guns every 3 weeks and I've been only carrying for 7 here in Florida. Outside of loving the looks of the 1911 and buying one 2 weeks ago, I'm considering a Glock to add to my collection. Any Glock lovers out there?
What do you think of the Glock 26 for carry?

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.

The 26 is great for carry, I am carrying mine right now. If you want .40 get the G27.

The 26 is a great carry gun. Also consider the 19. It might feel better in your hand.

I don't think you will see anyone say they do not like there glock. Of course this is a bit of an exaggeration. Some do not. I think the major complaint will be that it is too blocky.

I own a G19 currently and have messed with a G23 and G36 for a while. I prefer the larger framed version. For how blocky it is I would rather get a full grip and barrel length if I am going to put up with the width. It i wanted something as tall and long as a G26 I would look for a single stack firearm and enjoy the smaller width too.

I carry a Glock 27 which is the same size as the 26 but .40 instead of 9mm. I love it.

    You're joking, right?

Since RamRod only stops by occasionally nowadays, I'll say it for him.

Yup...there's a few of us "Glock lovers" out here.

The G26 is an excellent choice - same overall size as a snubbie, with twice the firepower, a better trigger, a faster reload, and better sights. The only thing the G26 is not really good for, is pocket carry (I do pocket carry mine, but only when in uniform). In most clothes, it is too big for that...though some folks here claim to pocket carry a bazooka.

Check out the G19 as well. One of the best combat pistols ever made.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

I have a G26 and have been very happy with it. After much soul searching, my wife also decided to buy a G26 also. On the days when I leave mine at home she claims that she will be dual wielding. I find the weight to be a problem with pocket carry in shorts or other pants that don't take a belt. Using a stiff, double thickness belt really, and I mean really, makes a difference. Otherwise it will go into a jacket pocket or the back pocket of jeans. You will want to be careful about anything getting caught in the trigger guard area if you carry in a manner other than a good holster, but in my opinion same would apply to a revolver or anything else that doesn't have a thumb or grip safety. The double-stack magazine makes the G26 come out slightly wider than a Kahr, which is probably the smallest of the 9mm's that seems to be reliable overall. Quality wise, Glock is very good and we have both been very happy with them.

    Lately, a CZ75b. I occasionally carry a G21, G19, or a G36, and compete with all three (just for fun ).
