    Makarov followed me home

Was at my local gun shop looking for a used S&W snubbie (want a Model 36). No used snubbies, but I spied a Makarov in the display case.

The gun was pristine and in either unissued, or re-arsenaled condition. In any case, it's in excellent condition. I'm fairly new to Makarovs and only got my first one a couple months ago. That gun has tons of holster wear, but shoots like a champ. Well, I just couldn't pass up the one in the display case.

I'll post pics after I clean it up because it has a lot of cosmoline on it.

I love classic designs, steel guns, and reliability. Maybe that explains why my last four gun purchases have consisted of two S&W Model 10s, and two Bulgarian Makarovs.

Must be a virus that LGS turns loose, I have that same problem with guns wanting to follow me home. And could not let that one stay outside after following you all the way home, good choice.

    Range report on the Mak:

Ran about 75 rounds through it, and it ran like a Swiss Watch. I had expected a few malfunctions because everything on this (never-fired) gun was TIGHT, and I figured that it would need a good break in. Nope. Absolutely zero malfunctions.

Here's a target that was at 7 yards with 9 rounds (full 8+1 capacity) shot at it.

    Easy come sticky go.
This Makarov is 4.5" in height. This Makarov is 5" in height. Yours looks like the latter. Just curious if you care to report which? My carry height clearance is less than 5 and probably less than 4.75 inches.

Just measured the Makarov. It is 4 7/8 in height counting the rear sight, and 4.75 not counting it.
