Nice choice. I have several J-frames - 637, 642, and a 60. If you are going with a revolver, might as well go with the classics!

I use a Desantis summer heat IWB at 4:00. At first I didn't like it, but it's grown on me.

My sister has a 49 that she will sell me someday (These aren't the droids you're looking for' Jedi mind tricks), same style in blue steel. I used to find them ugly, then caught J-frame fever. I have a 60 Pro and a 642. Enjoy!

I carried the blued version off-duty 30 years ago ( Model 38 Airweight). A GREAT gun, should have kept it... There were only two things I didn't like about it: #1- ONLY 5 shots! #2- it kicked HARD, even with the rubber Pachmayr grips I had on it. I had to carry my duty ammo in it: 158 gr +P LHP's, issued for my duty gun, a 4" S&W model 66. If I had it now, I would probably keep it loaded with Hornady Critical Defense, like I keep my PF9 loaded with.

Nice looking revolver. I just scored a great deal on an M&P 342 (38 Special +P version of the M&P 340) to go along with my model 63. Hope you enjoy your purchase.
