A plus for the Glock is that it can easily fill a CC role, too. Whereas, a 6" GP100 would be very difficult to hide.
I don't know, but i'm supposing that it would be easier to make a precision shot, at a distance, with a single action revolver than a striker fired weapon.

I would used a 10mm when compared with a .357 magnum. If going with a revolver get a .44 magnum like Glockman says.

Well I like the .357 platform. I have piles of ammo. Already set up for reloading. I also have a SP101 3". I have always been intrigued by the 10mm. I have 40cal Glocks and the G20 like you said could also be a CC weapon. The single action Rugers would be great also. Who wouldnt want a N frame in 44 mag, but your talking close to $1000 bucks after I buy 44 mag ammo and reloading components.
Ahhh...so many choices. I really need to hit the lottery.
Glock 22 Gen 4, 27
Ruger SP101 .357mag
S&W 637 Airweight
Ruger Single Six
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 45 Colt
Mossberg 835 Grand Slam

If you want to go with a .44 mag then get the Redhawk instead of a S&W N frame 44 mag. Less money, heavier frame, equally accurate, and more durable. For someone who reloads, the Ruger revolvers are the better buy if you want to try hotter loads.
The one exception to that rule is the N-frame .357s that are built on the .44 mag frame. In that case, it's a wash, not an advantage one way or the other.

Why the S&W over the Ruger GP100?

I own both. Can't go wrong either way. That being said, if I were going to hunt with the G20, I would get a 6" aftermarket barrel. I reload for 10mm and I want as fully supported a chamber as possible.
