My local GS is so good, every deal I do there is a great deal, he charges me a set percentage over his cost he shows me his invoice I do not buy guns any where else.

M&P 9c preowned but unfired. 425/otd. It gets picked up this week.

Marlin 30/30 $175. This one never made it home, sold it to my neighbor for $300.

I have gotten lots of great deals at gun shops but the best deal I have gotten locally was a Colt Detective Special for $189, it did have the ugliest mother of pimp grips but the dealer threw in a used set of Pachmayr compact grips.

Never thought I'd hear deal and Gander in the same sentence. Unless "bad" was in there too.

My best deal was at Streicher's for my M&P9c, brand new, 3mags and night sights for $455.

I know, I've been lucky at the Gander in Kenosha, I got a used XD .40 less than 200 rounds through it with 5 mags for $420 and now my dream gun for $550.

I just got the same deal you did at Streicher's on a M&P 9c w/ NS. Without the NS, it's an amazing $398. I don't see Gander coming anywhere near that.

$400 for a HK USP. When I saw it in the case I thought it was either broken or some obscure trigger variant. Nope!
$315 for a Sig P232. It even had an extra mag, still in the wrapper.
$550 for a HK P7 PSP. When the salesman brought the box out I thought it was broken, as it looked like he was holding it together. Nope, it was full of magazines!

These all from my local Gander Mountain. I love that store.

my small LGS is the shooters shop in Racine, about 30 min from home, and they are SOOOO overpriced they make Gander look like steals and deals. Other than that Illinois has some GS close by but I refuse to buy from the last anti gun state.

Totally agree with you on the Shooters Shop. Plus, I don't trust those guys one iota.
