Why not go with a Glock 30sf or 36? Both a .45 ACP, so you wouldn't have to switch calibers.
As for the 10mm Lite (.40 S&W), it's only real advantage is over 9mm in the barrier penetration department. (I happen to prefer .357 SIG to .40 S&W in this department). So, if you don't need better barrier penetration, .40 S&W offers no distinct advantage over modern 9mm loadings.
Also, I happen to strongly dislike the recoil characteristics of the 180 gr. loading, but I do like the characteristics of the 155 and 165 gr. loadings.
I am currently cking into those.

thanks everyone I am getting some good suggestions and info here.
Like my wife just said now you know your not going to give up your 1911's or any of your sigs.
