She finally pulled the trigger so to speak.
I am ecstatic beyond belief. My wife has had her HCP for almost 2 years I bought her a S&W 638 to carry back then but she hated it so needless to say we have been on a carry gun hunt for her ever since. We have shot every firearm you can imagine to no avail.
We went to the range today and on a whim I ask the ranger owner to borrow his LCR took it in let the wife shoot 15 rounds and asked what she thought..to my surprise she said it's not a practice gun but it would make a good sd gun. I told the range owner to order her one with CT grips on the spot and low and behold he already had one in stock (wife is almost blind in her right eye thus the CT grips). Filled out the paperwork took the lcr back in the range and she shot really well.. almost 50 rounds, it is now resting on her bedside table.
The funny thing is the LCR thumps harder than the 638 did I think she just likes the grips better. Anyway I am keeping my mouth shut she has finally found her perfect firearm.

A very good thing for her and may she carry always. I'm hoping my wife will one day carry too.

The ladies have to be able to pick out the gun THEY want, or on one is happy.
Glad she found HERS.

Congrats! My wife comes to the range any time I ask, seems to enjoy shooting, has had her permit 14 years now but carries less than 5% of the time when she is out and about. Her favorite is a 4" Colt Trooper and she is good with it but way to much gun to drag around. I think a 3" 5 shot in .38+P with similar sights to the Colt might be the answer.

The LCR is light as a feather I was really surprised. I don't think +p would be fun at all through it though.

Hook her up with a good pocket holster and call it done.

You're both lucky! My wife has yet to come to the range with me; we'll be married fifteen years this May.
