    I agree Gman.

I realize a medical examiner might not be able to tell what caliber made the wound, but that doesn't somehow make all rounds equal. They also can't tell from the wound channel when the shooting occurred or what kind of gun was used. They can't tell from the wound how long it took for incapacitation to occur. They can't tell how long it took for the guy to go down after the hit, or if he even went down.

If they look at a wound made by a .380 and can tell no difference in a wound made by a .40 or .45 then does that imply the .380 is just as effective as a .40 or .45? I think not. They can't tell what the effects of the bullet was on the victim. They can't tell what level of pain he experienced, or if there was a shock effect to the nervous system or not.

Just a reminder guys, this is just a state trooper list. The 'terrain' might look different if we had a major city list.

Thanks MNBurl, if you're confident in your source, I'll note that in the OP list.

Also note KSP is ordering the new gen 4 to replace the gen3 g35 now carried. At this time I don't know about new 27s.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

Thanks Gman! If you learn anything new about the G27 give us a post. I'll add a note to the list to reflect this.

    Anyone know?
Yes, Sig still does build the P228 on large contract orders. I do not know if the have them stockpiled, but I would imagine they do have at least something that resembles a surplus.

    Texas Rangers - a 45 because they don't make a 46.

Several Oklahoma troopers are regulars at my shop and they were actually responsible for me starting to carry the .357 SIG, they love it.

I'll tell you what, I have no .357 sigs, but I am drawn to the caliber relentlessly. I think one reason I hesitate to get a G31 gen 4 is the price of the ammo. And, I'm a little puzzled why it isn't catching on more. I'm convinced it's a better round than the .40.

Hey wait a minute, how can you already have a gen 4 G32?

The most interesting thing about this list is how much it's changed over the last few years.

Now see, you had my hopes all built up. It won't be long though. I've seen a G31 gen 4 at a LGS, so the G32 gen 4 can't be far behind.

Hey, I see what I did now, you listed: "Glock 36, 30SF, 31, 32, 21 Gen4 - Carry guns" and I thought the gen 4 applied to all of them. It only applied to the 21, right?
