    Kahr P9 review

    First post. :)

We just picked up a Kahr P9 for my girlfriend to use as a conceal carry gun when she receives her permit. We were a little unsure at first as I have never owned a Kahr. We bought it in tip top shape but used (our local gun store owners carry). That means it was already broken in. This thing is a real shooter for its size. My girlfriend pulled the first one but after that was within 2.5" after that from 21 ft. She hates recoil and was a little worried because it is so light (15ish oz) and thin. She was very pleased, as was I. The recoil is light and the muzzle lift is very well handled. We only shot federal champion Wal-mart specials through it but it was very accurate. The trigger is very smooth. The size of the gun is nice and easy to hide pretty much anywhere. This gets a good rating from both of us and we will defiantly be keeping this guns for a long while.

I have several guns and ones that are more fun to shoot at the range, but my CW9 has become one of my "always" guns when I leave the house. Accurate, light, reliable, and just a real pleasure to carry. CW9 is the unfancy version of your P9, and it too is a gun I will have for a long time to come. Will probably add another one next year when my daughter gets her concealed weapons license. Not a better endorsement than that.

Congrats on a great gun for carry. Glad your GF likes it.......you will have one soon yourself. She can't have all the fun.

Welcome to the forum. The P9 is an excellent choice for concealed carry. The K9 is another fine selection, but I prefer the larger TP9. Enjoy your new Kahr.

    What's not to like?!

Great choice! Having tried almost everything conceivable over the years, I have long been settled on the P9 in a Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC holster as the best concealed carry combo for me. The pistol is thin, lightweight, accurate and dependable - what's not to like?!

IMHO, the grip sleeves improve the grip by making it fill my hand a bit better and the funger bump makes for a tighter, more secure grasp. I also put them on my .45acp Kahrs to take the "edge" off the sharp profile of the backstrap. Eight dollars well spent.

    Welcome to the forum.

Kahr are some very well built and fun guns to shoot. My wife has the CW9 and I carry a CW45 on a daily basis.

Glad to hear that the P9 has been working out so well for your girlfriend. I'll be joining the ranks of the Kahr owners soon as I just won an auction for a PM9 on GunBroker last night. After seeing everyone rant and rave about how great these little pistols are, I decided to find out for myself. I can't wait for it to get here.
