I pocket carry one of these Pocket Concealment Systems, Inc.: Harpoon in my cargo pants. This holster really isn't designed for dress style pants. It does a good job in pants with square shaped pockets.

It is possible, sure. My BUG is a G27 that I frequently carry in my left front pocket in a nemesis. Would it work in a business suit? Probably not. Just about everything else is viable in my experience.

It is definitely possible to pocket carry a .40 if your pants and pocket are reasonably large.

I have carried my .40 in the right front pocket of blue jeans, in an Uncle Mikes holster which
I modified for the purpose. You develop a list (To lean or cause to lean to the side :)

Kahr makes a nice 40cal. My wife loves her G27. But, a 40 cal is a bit heavy IMO for a pocket carry.

IMHO, anything small enough to pocket carry is really a little too small for a .40 S&W.
I lusted after a PM40 for a while when it first came out, but when push came to shove, I ended up with a CM9. I decided that the improved controlability plus the extra round outweighed the power advantage of the .40. I'm a pretty big guy, at 6'3" and ~200lbs., and I CAN pocket carry the CM9 in jeans, but I don't. I use a High Noon Bare Assets IWB. FWIW

    Regards,
    Jim
