Shooting the G17 gen 4 with the Ghost Rocket and TLR2 (short demo video)

This is just my trial shoot with the newly installed Ghost Rocket connector. I think Iíve pretty much explained everything else in the video Ė itís about 2 min and 45 sec long.

Be easy on me here, remember each of my eyes have five RK cuts and scars that I can see when my pupil opens up and it causes faint multiple images of small things like sights. One eye has had cataract surgery and both are in soft contacts and as youíll hear in the vid, does give me some trouble sometimes.

Oh, and as of last December, both eyes became 66 years old.

I may have missed it in your video, about how far away was the target and how big is the dot?

I really dig your round meter in your sig line

    BTW, excellent shooting

Yep, you missed it but that's ok. The target was just over 5 yds away, and the dot is 3" in diameter.

    That's some great shooting.

Are you using the stock sights or the laser?

My eyes can't focus on the actual top of the stock plastic sights. The sights aren't sharp enough/my eyes aren't good enough etc... I have to use the white outlines and dot and it causes me to hit high a little, but I can still shoot pretty accurately.

Haha: about 95+% of the population wishes they could shoot like that - great job. I should be getting the rocket connector soon.

Thanks for the kind words guys; it's special when when encouraging words come from gun buddies! :yep:

The stock Glock sights. I haven't found any to work any better except the luminescent sights on my P30L.

However, I can't help but say that a laser solves a lot of eye/shooting problems. Some will pooh-pooh them, but during times while I was 'experimenting' with prescriptions and couldn't see my front sight, I could see the laser and it made a world of difference for poor eyesight.

I can understand completely about the eyes. I've been very fortunate that either glasses or contact lens helps my eyesight a lot. I wouldn't be able to see the front sight otherwise. The soft contacts the doc has me in, purportedly until he burns the prescription in with Lasek (yep, lasek, not lasik - lasek is done on the surface of the eye), are working wonders for me. But the contacts can blur, cloud, etc.; thankfully they are fairly consistent but they do have some troubling moments as evident in the vid.
