So I went into my local GS fully expecting to walk out with a XD as my new EDC. Well I held a S&W M&P 9c, and that was it. As much as I love the XD this gun felt even better, was lighter and had better sights.

Congrats on your new gun. Now go put some rounds down range.

Good choice. IMO much better than the top heavy XD.
that's ok... all the more for me :D
xd's are great guns, but i've sold two now. Just wasn't for me. Little too block and top heavy. Just my mileage, congrats on the new M&P
Congratulations... I bought the M&P 9c a month ago. Very please, but just to let you know I own the XDm 9mm as well & I switch up my EDC between the two. Both are excellent!!! :shockwh:
Congrats on the new gun.
Well as much as I like Xd no one can say you did wrong with a S&W Mp that is a fine weapon
Don't apologize, different tastes are what make the world go 'round-would be boring as hell if we were all the same-doing the same! I hope to add the S&W 9mm to my other 9mm's- XDm 4.5", HK USPc, G19 Gen 3 and G26 Gen4.
Different strokes for different folks. Gotta go with what feels best and works for you. Congrats on the new purchase. If bonus is good at work I hope to come home with a new xdm 3.8 9mm compact.
Congrats! I picked one up 6 months ago for my EDC. I have shot 500+ rounds of trouble free ammo through it. No fuss, no muss, and boring reliable. Advice, learn to shoot it without the pinky extender mag. Makes it much more concealable!
