I safety checked it. And took it apart for routine cleaning. As I just added it to my collection as my first xd. The barrel looks off-set, any advice? Is it normal? I can't post picture do to new phone incompetence. If any know what I am talking about let me know
Detail- barrel is off set of slide if you look at it when its together. There is a gap.
There should be a small gap at the top. When your slide goes back your barrel with angle up.
That's the thing. My slide isn't racked back. It is forward. It has a gap at the top.
If yours is abnormal so is mine. Yours, mine and, I'm guessing C hawk's, all have a small gap at the top. I think you're okay. Does it operate correctly?Quote:

The barrel on my XD9sc sits a bit "lower" in the hole as well. If you look real close the hole isn't completely round and that gap at the top has to do with the barrel tilt.
