    Cool

    HA!

A good friend of mine, Bob Liddell of Memphis, once said to me:

"D.R., do you want to be known as the World's Greatest Point Shooter or the World's Greatest Sight Maker?"

    To that I said, "BOTH!"

I'm one of those strange people who really like the standard Glock factory sights. i really like the white outline of the rear notch.

Don't you think the rear over powers the front? Front being the most important of course...

I love my Sevigny carry sights with tritium. Single green up front with a dimmer single yellow tritium rear

I prefer an all black (flat, not serrated) rear sight. Any markings on the rear and my eye will go back and forth focusing on the front and rear. Drives me nuts.

I'd offer them in plain black with a serrated rear and an opional night sight version w/ 2 dot Tritium rear and single dot Tritium front.

It would actually also be nice if you serrated the rear face of the rear sight guard.

    Hi everyone,
I have a Walther PPS 40 and I wish I had more options for sights. My Walther has 3 white dots and that is very confusing for my eyes to keep tract of the front sight. My S&W 669 has a orange front sight and that is much better. I thought about just painting the front sight but that just don't seem right.

I can only find 3 choices for my PPS.
    1) Trijicon green/green
    2) Meprolight green/green
    3) XS BigDot green/green

Here are my concerns and I would really like some feedback. I have never seen any of these in person only online.
The Trijicon and the Meprolights are basically white dots with green inserts so I am afraid I am going to have the same problem I have with my stock sights in the daytime.
Will I get the white blur as I do with my stock white dots?

The BigDot front sight really looks big in the pictures.
The standard dot is also not available for my PPS.
Is it really that big or is it the same size as these other two front sights?

I have read some excellent feedback on this site and feel like I can trust your opinions

    IMO (you asked)

My first thought is that you are trying to improve on the Big Dot sight which really needs no improvement.

The rear sight seems awkwardly high. Which means the front sight would be even higher(?).

Orange is too harsh and contrasting for a front sight color. Green is more recognizable by the human eye and smoother to pick up on target. But that can be an option for personal preference.

It looks like the sight is in a base of some sort, if that's not the case I apologize.

I prefer a clean cut, plain black rear sight and yours are a good example why I do - on your sights there are:

    • the angles down on the sight base to the frame,
    • the horizontal cut from the sight base across to the sight,
    • the sharp vertical rise from the sight base,
    • the rounded off edge to the deep v,
    • white vertical bar,
    • the (what seems like a wall) rear sight and the overpowering orange dot.

Just not something I would be interested in because there are just too many visual reference points too take in and it lacks aesthetics.

Oh, really? How many National or World Championships have been won using X/S Big Dot Sights?

Or better yet? How many National or World Records for Speed and Accuracy have been set using X/S sights?

    Just wondering…
