The rear sight seems awkwardly high. Which means the front sight would be even higher(?)
No, it uses a 1/4” high front sight…

Orange is too harsh and contrasting for a front sight color. Green is more recognizable by the human eye and smoother to pick up on target. But that can be an option for personal preference.
I think the front sight should be more attractive to the human eye than the rear. But it’s available in Red, Green or White Dot. I Agree, it’s a personal preference.

It looks like the sight is in a base of some sort, if that's not the case I apologize.
Yes, that’s the base, as it is fully adjustable. I am thinking about putting this blade into the Winged Base on the current “Combat Carry” sight.

I prefer a clean cut, plain black rear sight…
I agree about the "Plain Black" rear blade. For young eyes, the black rear blade with a square notch is the most accurate (for shooting tight little groups anyway) and that's why it is the #1 Choice for most Tops Shooters that I know.

Thanks for the input. And I DO appreciate any and all input I can get. Even though we might not agree, it's always good food for thought.

The green fiber optic is awesome in low light. I've used them for hunting at dawn and dusk (legal shooting hours of course ).

However, during the day, the Red Rocks IMO (at least for me). But it's all in the cones one has in their eyes. But then, I have people who can't see red well at all.

For total darkness, I still prefer a white dot and flash light.

Nice robust rear sight. Very crisp slot in the rear. The stock sights on the Kahr arms are pretty good but Replaced the ones on the TP45 with green rear and front. I cannot see reds very well but greens pop.

I applaud you for asking for input.

I've been running a gun for a long time and I know what works for me. It's my opinion, I didn't say it should mean much to anyone else.

I usually go with a yellow rear sight with a green front sight. I am using Meps currently. But I do want to try some Heinie Straight 8's.
