I have one that my parents bought me for my 21st birthday back when they were around $300. It is a good gun to be sure, mine just doesn't run well anymore.

Well, I just picked up the P6... What a nice shooter, really. I have an SP2022 and a 229, and I'd have to say, it really rivals those two pistols. The DA trigger pull is about 45lbs... But I believe the P6 has the original mainspring which is supposedly rated at 28#. It can be swapped out with a 225 mainspring which is 24#. Again, no expert, just some intense research. As far as refinishing... I saw one with a hard Chrome slide and matte black frame. Boy was it a sweet looking piece.
