While both scenarios seem quite outrageous to me, I would lean towards a visit from ET before a wave of zombies. Who knows with chemical warfare and big pharma conspiracies though.
A couple people are listing hunting rifles over an "assault" type rifle. Please elaborate on why you would choose one or the other.

- 7.62x39 AK
- XD9 Service model
- Marlin Model 60 .22 rifle
Those three cover everything from defense, offense, hunting, and plinking. Mostly I just shoot paper with them.

out to a mile id like them to fear me, closer in, say 1000 yards--i want to pop them-- so my
Rem 700 in 308 with a Burris 12-34 is easily portable and comes with me.
from o to 100 yards my kimber gold match (better with its left grip detachable red-dot)
in 45acp will give 6" groups; with its 22LR upper its sub 2moa
doubters on the left; you likely would not believe the dozens of targets that have been signed off on anyways.
one extra gun---my CASS 1895 pump Winchester. carries 10 shells and it has a long history of working reliably.
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.
For Sale 1985 Toyota Supra. one owner, 82K, will pass inspection, only needs some body/rust patching
These threads are fun, but it really would be hard for me to choose only three. Four would cover everything much better for me.
One would certainly be a .22 rifle, either a 10/22 or Marlin 60.
Certainly a 12 guage pump, 870 or mossberg 500.
If I could only have three, it would be a hard choice between the above plus my Glock 30 or my M1A.
If I could have four, .22 rifle, 12 guage, G30 and M1A.

I agree 4 would be better. I would then split my third choice and go with a 10/22 and my Benelli 12ga. instead of a combo over/under. But its easy to say 4 is better, than 5, and so on. 3 just came to mind as the bare bones of what I would be comfortable with, to handle just about any situation I would be likely faced with.

If 'mental illness' is a main cause of gun-grabbing sentiments, then mental illness is the true enemy.
The March of Dimes worked. There's an opportunity there for being pro-active in defense of your rights.
Alternatlvely, please just actually give actual money occasionally.
My pick would be the following:
Glock 20SF with changeable barrels and magazines for .40S&W, .357Sig, and .22LR
Colt 6920 AR15
Keltec KSG
If I can bring an extra it would be the Keltec PMR30 in .22Mag !!!

Since you said money no object.
Dillon Aero Mini Gun, Mounted to truck to haul ammo. 6000 rounds per minute of 7.62. This should cover my defensive needs.
Barret 50 cal Mk 82 This should cover the hunting.
Folding stock M92 Krinkov AK47. Full Auto of course. This should take care of most other threats and easier to hit with than a pistol.
Glock 19 (9mm)
HiPoint 995 Carbine (9mm)
Nylon 22 (.22 LR)
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
