My mind was made up for me...

I knew I wanted a Sig Sauer P239, but I was trying to decide whether I wanted a 9mm or .40 S&W. I happened to go by a pawn shop yesterday, just to see if it was still there. And it was. A used Sig Sauer P239 9mm, Stainless Slide with night sights. I was able to get credit for the Ruger SR9c I was trying to sell and paid cash for the remainder. So far, I really like it. I think in a few weeks I am going to have it refinished in Cera-Hide to give it a much cleaner look. But as long as it shoots straight and functions well, that's what really matters.

The only thing I have noticed is that due to the weight of the gun, I believe I could have handled the .40 S&W. I may be getting the conversion kit or perhaps another Sig in that caliber. Practice with the cheaper 9mm and carry the .40 for defense. Anyway, I am a happy camper

Congrats! But you should really practice with the one you are going to carry.

Oh, I understand that, and I will. I should have said that if I just wanted to get out and get some trigger time, I can shoot the 9mm as its cheaper ammo.
