I would bet their lawyers will get him to sign saying he will accept a new pistol, and that is all they would be on the hook for.

I would agree, that reloading for this type of pistol cartridge would be tricky, and you had better be paying attention.

The cases are coated in lacquer ( have to deal with the cleaning of brass issues) and the shoulders can change shape ( they round off), The life of the necks is very short. maybe 2 or 3 times to load. The factory ammo the bullet is glued into the neck. Can cause the necks to be stressed. I can tell you more but it gets boring talking about the pressure isssues

Browning, Winchester and FN Herstal are all owned by the same parent company - Herstal Group.

This thread appears on several forums I am little suspect at the real story behind this. I have well over 2800 rounds through my 5-7 no failures not even a FTF. I have slow fired I have fired as fast as I can pull the trigger with 20 round clips. Now I believe it happened but it smells of reloads this round like the 221 fireball is real tough to reload and even the slightest mistake can send pressures soaring into the next stratosphere. If this were my incident I would not be posting all over the net but dealing with what ever means possible to get satisfaction from the original MFG of ammo and the firearm or both. Not turning it into a public spectical.

Ramjet, your assessment is like mine, he's making too much noise about it. If he ever wanted to take legal action he more than likely has tainted his case with his spreading this around so much. I bet this is a very bad example of revenge.
