that the SIG P239/40 exists is sufficient unto me

    very few makes/models blend:

    accuracy--under 3" at 25 yards
control--balance, natural pointability, weight is middle of the pack ~28 oz
power--the 180 gr moves out at the same speed as a 180gr out of a 45acp of similar bbl length
concealability--slim and a commander length grip
    capacity--8
versability--drop in a 357 Sig bbl or a 9mm conversion using the same magazines and bbl spring
priced about $200 more than a glock
can be had with or without a de-cockerand
and...its easy on the eyes--stainless on top of deep blue

    heck.....im gonna go get another

.380Acp and .32ACP.....because if I have to shoot someone I want them DRT, not shooting back at me after taking five rounds.
Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.

    I have the following calibers

    22LR
    .380 acp
    9mm
    45 acp
    20 gauge
    12 gauge

The only caliber I want to add in the future is .223 for an AR and maybe .357
I don't want to have to stockpile for any more calibers.

Smith's 500 will most likely never grace my home. Heard the brass is spendy.

It's been interesting to see 40 S&W come up on the avoid list. I figured it had become pretty mainstream at this point, but I guess that it's not to the level of acceptance of the 9mm in the market. I never shot a 40 before my G23 Gen 4, so I don't have a reference point of other makes or the Glocks before that. I did notice it had more punch than my Nano, but not anything that created a problem, and I love how the G23 shoots. It's the only Glock I've owned other than a G17 Gen 1 years ago, and I'm on the hunt for a G27 Gen 4 now to have an option between the G23 and Nano for carry.
