    Just simplified my carry life.....

Now I know this sounds crazy but.....

I sold my Glock 21 and Kel Tec PF9!!!

I know, I know, it seems that I'm going the wrong direction. But really, I took a long look at my habits and routines and found that those two guns just sat in the safe. I've never been the one to have safe queens(ESPECIALLY Glocks and Kel Tecs!), so I gave them new homes where they would be loved and used often(such a giver I am )

My Glock 26 and KLCR seem to give me all the carry options I need. Now the only other gun I still have my eye on is the Glock 19 for more range time fun.

    P.S.
I owe the Glock-o-philes 100 hail Glocks for selling the Glock 21 and I solemnly swear to never sell a Glock again!

Man I would have kept the G21 for a nightstand gun!

I used to over-complicate things. Now I have a two gun system. My S&W 642 snubbie rides in a pocket, or my Glock 30 rides IWB or in a pancake holster. It is either or. I am always tempted to try something new, but I shoot very well with these two, and I have a lot of leather for both. It keeps things simple.

I felt that way for a long time too and thats why it took me so long to sell it but when I realized that I shot it so little cause I never had ammo for it, it dawned on me that shooting a gun in defense in my home that I barely practice with is kinda dumb.

Several posts lately about simplifying things. I have been doing the same. For me, too many tools causes me to have to think about what to carry more than being extremely proficient with 2-3 firearms.

I'm kinda the same with my Glock 26 and KLCR. I have integrated carry options to carry both or either one alone.

There's always that temptation to scoop up the newest/latest/greatest but after the new feeling rubs off I always go back to my trusted two.

Fl weather one can get by with 2 guns as you do.

up north we have a c.o.l.d. season so many add a 3rd gun
so a primary strong side belt carried gun, perhaps a sig p239 or glock
and a secondary like a 642 in the off side coat pocket and
    a pocket carry like a K-T p380

pick 2 out of 3 and out the door...
    ...pants first, than shoes charlie.

    Why buy a G19?

Just get a few extended mags for the 26, and use that.

True that. Just get G19 mags and an A&G grip extender. I do that with my G30 and use G21 mags.

Because a G19 has a rail for a tac light, which is very useful for home defense. The G26 does not.

And...if your gun is out of service for any reason, having a back-up is nice.

I have lots of guns, but usually carry one of two (or both of them together). XD40sc and S&W 442. There's something to be said for keeping it simple.

It's ironic that my PF9 is my cheapest gun, and it's also a safe queen.

It's stone-cold reliable, but I just never use it. It has almost no resale value, so it'll probably be my son's decision on what he does with it someday.

A Glock is a Glock is a Glock. It's been my experience that if you practice with a Glock, you can use any Glock. The trigger pull is the same, and in a combat situation, you're not going to notice all that much of a difference between the slow push of .45 ACP and the soft snap of a 9x19mm.

Anyways, I can definitely understand the want to simplify. Stay safe! =)
