I know that a lot of us have multiple choices for concealed carry. My top of the line model is a custom Sig Sauer. So whether you have a Sig or a custom 1911, what is the gun you grab the most when you head out the door? I actually find myself grabbing my snubbie Smith. Let's be honest here folks. It is just a lot easier and more comfortable to carry the smaller and lighter gun. I can't be the only one here, am I?
Depends on where I'm going... A big city (where you're more likely to need - or at least appreciate the increased comfort of having - greater "firepower") - Sig P229; anywhere else - S&W snubby
I almost always carry a G19 around. I have an SP101 that I like, but don't shoot as well as my Glock (workin' on it though). I actually like shooting the revolver more, but I'm better with my Glock so that's what I carry. I put it on when I got back from classes this afternoon, went to work, and still have it on. It'll be with me until I go to bed, just like every other day.
My 2 EDC's are my G30 and 23.
I don't grab a special gun when I go for a quick "late night" jont to the store or to a special "bad" part of town.
Instead, for me, it works like this. I get dressed in the morning and grab my G30 from my Fobus paddle holster that is in the nightstand and put it in my Kholster where it stays until I get home. Once I am in comfortable clothes, the G30 goes into the Fobus paddle again and it stays on my hip wherever I go until bedtime. Then it goes in the nightstand again until needed or morning where it starts all over again. Same routine when I carry my G23.
I love the Kholster(for the G30) or the CBST(for the G23). I have found that the Fobus paddle holster has GREAT retention and holds the gun so close to my body that I can carry even the G30 OWB with just a tshirt and it conceals very well.
Again, for me, it's the same gun everytime, everyday. G30
any combination of XD40SC, Sig P238 and S&W Bodyguard 380 (depending on weather, carry situation, etc.).
