    Storm warning!

Yesterday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for our neck of the woods. The wife called me and said to get whatever I thought we might need so that we wouldnt have to go out. Taking her directions seriously,I came home with a Ruger SR40C. As she was putting the other well thought over staples(pasties, pop and oreos) away,I took this little gem apart, cleaned her up and shes sittin at the ready for initial trials tomorrow.
I have heard nothing but good about these guns-Anyone have .02 they'd like to throw at me?

We got a good dusting by the way,20 inches.Winter has finally arrived!

Well, a snow storm (I don't miss 'em) is an excellent reason to buy a Ruger.
If you can get the 'boss' to go along with that...congrats!

well I don't have the SR40C but I do have the SR9C and I will say that these are the absolute best sub $400 guns you can buy hands down, great CCW pieces for sure.

I looked at the SR9C the same day I got my PF9 I liked it and it felt great in my hand...but for some reason I went for the kel-tec. Maybe it was the price difference but look where that got me. now I dont have either.

Snow? What snow? Where? In fact, what is snow? If it involves cold, I don't want any!

Soon enough I will be in sunny Florida. No more winters for me. I'm through with snow and harsh winds.

90 degrees and sunburned from head to toe.....Florida in March is sweet......not so much in August.

Congrats on the 40C. A great value carry pistol and if anything like the 9C, a real shooter.

the only "snow" we have in Florida will get you ten years +.

Only had about 7 inches here, and no new handguns to report in my safe. But a Kahr 9mm is in the works

I wish my local grocery, hardware store or gas station sold guns. I think my wife has installed a tracking device on my truck, as any time I get close to the LGS my phone rings.

Pasties consists of a crust filled with diced potatoes, rutabagas, carrots, onions & ground beef seasoned to perfection. Now some people combine ground pork, ground beef, and ground lean beef. Now a days they even have chicken, veggie, and even a breakfast one.

    Cool on the gun buy!

Wish my wife would call saying to get "provisions".
She hates letting me inside a meijer or kroger,{I buy too much crap} let alone waltzing through the door with a pistol purchase.

I'd be lookin' at the inside walls of the doghouse for a while.
She is pretty tolerant of my shenanigans truth be told.

Oh. When I posted I was being sarcastic, since I thought you had misspelled "pastries." But now I learned something new, thanks.
