Kahr PM9 at the range just finished 1000 rounds!

It's not the most accurate pistol that I own; and doesn't have the most capacity; it's not the purtiest either ...but it's damn sure the overall best, easiest-to-conceal and most reliable sub-compact 9mm pistol on the market for its intended purpose, CCW, IMO. I carry my 100% PM9 probably 75% of the time. As much as I love my S&W 642, the PM9 most often gets the nod for when I need to go small.

After 1000 I ordered a new spring for mine and use the new one when i carry. That was a good suggestion from a member. The pm9 is one of my favorites and carry I a front pocket with a molded leather holster.

And what make .22 is it that jams so often? My Walther P22 has not jammed since new when I changed to CCi Stingers.

Try Remington Golden Bullets. They're cheaper and work just as good.

Glad to hear your Kahr is working out well for you. I took my brand new PM9 to the range yesterday and put 200 flawless rounds through it. I didn't even clean it first because it came well lubed from the factory. I originally thought the long double action trigger would give me trouble but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Ugh. None of my .22's like those nasty golden things! I have had good performance with the Federal Automatch from Wally at about $15.50 for 325 rounds.

I just got a PM9 this week, too. It is amazingly accurate and very nicely made. The recoil seemed like it was less than my G26 and I find that I seem to be shooting it better than my G26. I was truly stunned. I put 200 rounds through mine with no failures to feed or eject. It's not as rugged as the Glock, but for those times when I have to conceal deeply I won't hesitate to carry this pistol.

Congratulations on your 1,000 round trigger job! My Kahr PM9 is approaching it's 4,000th round! I've gone through 3 recoil springs and that's it. No malfunctions in the past 1400 rounds. I think cheap ammo was the culprit a few years ago. I used it in some long range training at Suarez International's "Advanced Close Range Gunfighting" course a few months back (just for fun) and was hitting an 8" steel plate at 50 yards, regularly with my PM9. After this many rounds the trigger is buttery smooth, but the action is almost as tight as when it was new. I've been using "All Temp Tactical Lube" on it and that really makes it a very smooth little pistol. I shoot mostly Monarch brass, WWWB and Federal Champion for practice ammo and Corbon DPX for carry. It eats them all.
