    New Kahr CW 9

Here she is, racked the slide till my hand got raw, we'll see how she shoots tomorrow or Monday. I never found in the manual where it said to rack the slide repeatedly before you shoot it but I figured it couldn't hurt.

I have a CM9 which is virtually the same gun, recoil is very manageable and so are follow up shots.

Good as this may end up being my wife's carry gun.

The CW9 is noticeably bigger than a CM9. Barrel length, OA length, and height are all about 1/2" more, and it weighs a couple of ounces more. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. So much the better recoil-wise.

The CM9 and PM9 are the near-identical twins, dimensionally.

    Jim

Nice single stack 9mm! Not the most expensive, but IMO one of the better 9mm carry guns. I've had one for quite some time now and it doesn't get much attention, but only because I have 4 other Kahr offerings.

As for recoil, it's not bad at all for such a light pistol. The low bore axis aids with the recoil and muzzle flip. Bottom line, I think you'll be as surprised as I was with my first Kahr. Great little pistols IMO. I carry my CM9 more than any of my other Kahrs, but only due to size. Excellent little pistols IMO , and affordable too.

    Enjoy!

My wife has the CW9 and loves it. Smooth trigger and recoil is very manageable. I shot it some during the break in and was impressed with it. So much that I purchased the CW45 for myself. It's become the gun I carry on a daily basis at work.

I'm seriously thinking about getting one of these! Been to the gun shop a couple of times to fondle and really like it.

Congrats on your CW9. You have one of the best single stack nines out there. The procedure of dry racking the slide, clean and lube, probably orgianated on the various gun forums. But I went thru it with my CW9 and had excellent results. It is now my primary carry gun. Recoil is not bad at all and you can make quick follow ups . Good choice.

I think your wife will like it, too.
