    The 239 grip is a bit smaller, but still fills the hands as good as a "compact" size gun can.
    Both are very similar in performance IMHO.
    239 is very controllable, and I'd personally go for a 239 over a 229 for CCW considering a 10 round limit.

    I find that when wearing an untucked shirt that a pair of Perry Suspenders can make a huge difference in managing weight on your belt,I carry a Stainless Steel commander 1911 every day and the suspenders help a lot,I wear them under my shirt so they are like "Ninja" "Tactical" "Seal" "Stealthy" Suspenders.
    I also own a Sig 229 40 and carry it Occassionally
