I can't get used to that long DA pull, even though he made it feel even and light all the way. The SA was a hair this side of being, well, a hair trigger. Guess my brain to trigger finger doesn't understand DA.
Good news, my gunsmith, who by the way, thinks I'm one bubble to the right of being plum, now has a very nice Colt Lawman 2" with a super trigger.
Better news, I now have his reworked 70 series goverment, with a trigger my brain and finger understand.
As I was leaving his basement, he strongly suggested I stay in my comfort zone, so I didn't drive him out of his......LOL.
As you have learned, a DA pull does more mechanical work than an SA trigger - they can NEVER be equal.

The whole POINT of the DA/SA revolver is that you always have a CHOICE between two letoffs .

i mostly believe that if you throw enough money at a problem ( throw it in the right direction; ie: person whose training makes him capable
of doing the requested) it can be rectified--if it abides the laws of the possible. so if one trained person says it can't be done--get a second opnion.
or perhaps they explain why it can not be done and a second opnion will confirm it.

pi made math so hard that Cali once voted a law making pi=3.0
this was to make the students course study easier.
fortunally someone pointed out the Facts in the real world make
a law such as that unworkable. oddly, cali lawmakers accepted reality
and did not vote pi = 3.0.
decades later though they think a 'thingy that goes up' is extra dangerous...
Be aware, be deliberate in your actions and be accurate.

Why do those elected to positions of power than work so hard
to deny those same opportunities to the same people who empowered them
