I would do the Ruger Ruger purchase if I had the money and did not have them already.

A mossberg 930 for home defense would be nice, and leaves about $400... you can get a red dot for your ar or shotty, or a scope for your ar.
Can I totally change my original post? If I had an extra grand and I were you I would purchase an AR15 or an AK47 while you still can. Obama is going to make sure we all can't have them after he gets re-elected. I sure wish I did not believe it, but I do.....

Alot of good suggestions. Training is a great idea and its always a good time to get a Glock. You could maybe even get one in Cerakote ;-)
