Help me spend $1000.00
ok guys, I have a 1000 to spend, or as I like to say my wife will let me spend. My carry rotation at the moment are a ruger lcp and a ruger sr9c. I also own a ruger p90(.45, I've had it over 20 years), smith and wesson .357 revolver 4", colt ar15(6920), smith and wesson m and p 15-22(newest addition), ruger mark II .22 pistol and a fn five-seven pistol. I also have several thousand rounds for each.(not the 5.7 though) I also own several rifles and shotguns for sporting use.
Here's the question.
Should I buy a decent 1911 commander size(would take all of budget)
a glock 36 or 30sf with pump 12 gauge for defense(18.5 barrel)
a glock 36 or 30sf with a J-frame( 642 or 442)
ruger lc9 with glock .45
kahr cm9 with glock .45
ruger lcr .357 with ruger lc9
or any other combination?
I would like a 10mm, but I would like to stay within the ammo that i have.

Send it to me, I will help you spend it
the only thing i can say is you need to go finger them and decide what you want.
I love my LCR. I love my G29SF which is the same size as the 30

I think I'd like to join azchevy on this shopping trip!
I'd rather have my gun and not need it than need my gun and not have it.

I wouldn't waste one red cent on a chiappa product.

you have plenty of guns (for the moment) put the money into a good shooting class. Vickers, Hackathorn, TDI, Todd Green etc.

Jd I can't believe you said that on this forum. Do any of us have plenty of guns? I always need another gun :-)

Its funny I had this conversation with my buddy the other day. He doesn't have a gun safe, so my advice was "buy a safe"!
If you have a safe then I would agree with JD - get some training! If neither of those makes sense to you get the 1911!

I would get a shotgun and pair it with a snubby or one of the glocks you mentioned. Have fun

Got a safe right after Christmas. Shooting class is something I've been thinking about(esp. an ar15 class). My colt 6920 is bone stock other than 5 pmags, so maybe I should just accesorize it, but I kind of like the k.i.s.s. principal of it.

I agree with JD. Too many guns just adds confusion. Train to use the arsenal you already have. Training is always worthwhile!

Well, if you aren't interested in training, I would go with the LC9/Glock .45 combo. Mainly because I have the LC9 and love it, and I see you are already a fan of Ruger stuff.
The Glock just because I regret selling my G21, and I like to live (or "shoot") vicariously through some of the members on this forum who own or buy guns I want but can't afford
