Note: There is .45 in the list, and I'm specifying the Springfield XDS in 9mm (yes, it's coming).
2 Kahrs (MK9 & PM9)
2 Springfield's (XDS 9mm) (That's the model and caliber)

You're comparing two 9mm's vs. a .45 plus a 9mm. That's not fair!
Plus, you didn't specify which Springfield 9mm.
I'll pass.

Jim

Your reading skills are way off this morning. :)
I can see how it could be taken that way so I'll clarify in my original post.

if i wanted any of those 4 i would already have it.
but if they are a gift i'll accept the Kahrs as i believe they have the better resale value
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

Yeah...I'd have to agree with the above post; I'd take the Khars for the better resale value...trade 'em off and get something I wanted.

Understood.
If you wouldn't choose any of them, please don't pick one based on resale value.
Sorry.
What I'm looking for are poll answers from people that actually are or, in the market for these kinds of guns. Voting based on resale value doesn't help determine which people on this forum would rather carry.

OK, in that vein-even though I don't care for them, I'd likely take the Khars over an unproven design.

I've shot both poll guns and still think the XDM is more fun, no malfunctions so far and take any ammo from FMJ to +p+ and keep on going...

The OP isn't talking about an XDM; he's talking about the new (yet unreleased) XDS.
And nobody's shot it in 9mm yet.

I'm looking forward to purchasing an XDS in 9mm. I love my sub compact in 9mm but summer time will make it tougher to conceal effectively being a double stack and me being more skinny than fat. I've been considering purchasing a Kahr come summer, but I'd wait a little bit to buy another Springfield.

ok.....the xds feels larger in the hand than it actually is. and the kahrs are quite thin.
though they kinda do what many plastic guns do--twist in the hand after 2 or 3 fast shots.
but i'll take the kahrs for carry over the xds
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

Easy, XDS. From the write ups it's a winner.

Neither.
I don't like guns made by/funded by a religious cult- Kahr
I don't like European guns masquerading as a classic American armory- Springfield
I don't carry a gun to look for or start a fight. I carry one to finish a fight I never wanted to be in.

I have a Kahr BUG, but I won't be giving up my 45 until it's empty.
