PK380 For Wife
I am looking for a gun for my wife. I am leaning towards a LC9, but have heard some good things about the Walther Pk380. What is your experience? I want a gun that is easy to operate, first and foremost. She has trouble with the S&W 642's trigger being a little heavy, how is the DA trigger on the PK380? Is the safety in an intuitive position? Any thoughts?
I know, I plan on taking her to shoot some, but unfortunately my favorite gun store is short on stock right now, and particularly doesn't have this one. She doesn't like what I own now, so I am thinking she kind of just wants to pick one that is her own.

What's your favorite gun store?

Cabela's and Sportsman's have a pretty big selection. One of them might have one that you can handle.

Yeah, I have heard it is similar in size to the p22, which my brother in law has and we have handled, she likes the feel, but I haven't ever shot the PK380.

I used a PK 380 to pass the "shooting accuracy" part of my concealed carry license in Texas. I bought it brand new and took it to the range a few times. It was accurate and the grip felt natural in the hand. I later traded it for a much smaller Sig P238 because I wanted a firearm that I could pocket carry if need be. No major complaints. Pros: shoots well and very reliable. Cons: feels kinda "plasticky", sometimes can hear a slight rattle if shaken. The Sig P238 just feels solid, but it's more expensive than the PK380.

Fiancee's first gun was a PK380. Great little gun with around 1000 rounds through it now, and it has never had one problem. It was perfect for her as she was recoil shy, and now has attached herself to one of my Sig P226s.
