I have yet to hear any complaints on any of the boards I follow other than the availability problem.

If you don't like yours, you will have zero problems reselling it. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm still waiting on one as I'm not willing to pay the premium some are asking.

Let the Panic buying begin Ruger will not be taking any new orders for the entire second quarter of this year. They are booked way over capacity.

Mine has been my EDC since back in about Oct. I do not think I have had one single issue with it. I have several 1911's and you can not beat the SR1911 for the money. JMHO!!!!!

I've got the Ruger P345 and I love it. It's had about 2500 rounds through it with a variety of ammo and have never had a problem. It's very robust. I would imagine the SR is the same.

Here is a good review of the SR1911. I have one and have been very pleased with it.

Thumbs up Ruger SR1911 - Getcha Some!

A local gun shop near me still has these in stock, but are not shipping them out of state. They are in such high demand it's crazy how long people are waiting. Well...I can tell you that when I got my hands on mine...I fell in love. This first attempt at a .45 1911 by Ruger is a perfect mix of the classic style and comfort, with newer "add ons", ie Novak sights, beveled mag well, slide to frame match fit, that you don't pay "extra" for. Everyone has an opinion on what brand sells the best 1911 style .45...well although I am still relatively new to the sport of shooting...just over a year...I have shot a S&W 1911 E Series, Kimber full size and compact, Sig full and compact, and THIS is my right hand man. Worth every penny. Just a heads up though...when you get it, go home and clean it prior to shooting it and not only clean it, but grease the slide to frame rail. Grease keeps this baby purring.

Why wait? Any Colt before the 80 series will yield a nice 1911. Why wait for a clone when you can find the real thing?
