So I sold my j-frames.... this has made me forget all about them
As you all know, after obtaining the Ruger LCR .357 and the 1970 Colt Cobra... I decided to sell what was collecting dust in my safe. My 340 and my 66.
I totally offended the S&W gods so I decided to atone for my sins and I picked this up....
S&W Model 19-5 4"
From what I can gather it was made in Feb 1984 ( what is stamped under the grips) S/N ADSxxx - Maybe someone can help me out with that.
Oh man this thing is a beauty and a perfect complement to my pocket snubs. Locks up tight, shot a little as evident by the light turn marks and no flame cutting or and cracks/issues with the flat part of the forcing cone. Original medallion grips and one fine looking girl.

Picked up a nice safariland basket weave holster to hold her and I am good

I twisted up some loads to try with her, C/W from top left.....
FBI LSWCHP loads 158gr 38+P
158gr LSWCHP .357 loads
158gr Speer GD .357 Loads
158gr Hornaday XTP .357 Loads

I can't wait to work it out.

You are forgiven my son now go and sin no more. I bought my 6" 19-5, (avatar picture), new in the mid 1980s. Still lovin' it.

Beautiful gun! Model 19 is on my wish list but don't know I'll ever manage one, unless I can find someone to trade me straight across for my Ruger Service Six. I really admire the lines of the "ol' 19".

You can't beat the mirror finish on a Model 19. Mine is by far the best looking gun I own.

That is a handsome revolver. Reminds me of the better years gone by, very nostalgic.
