    My new 1911 Carry Piece

So I decided to jump into the 1911 pool again. This time spending more money than I did on my problematic American Classic Commander from last year. This is the Para GI LTC with the alloy frame. I like it as it weighs only 28oz empty and makes for easy carry. So far has 150 rounds through it with NO jams, hiccups, or issues. Just does what it is supposed to do.

I also dropped $100 on a custom made 1911 holster from K.C. Gun Leather in Springville, AL near my hometown. It is a VERY nice holster and has an adjustable cant which I love. All in all, I am glad to be back in the 1911 cult with a reliable gun this time. Enjoy the gun porn......

Nice looking 1911, and you gave it a great resting place.

Very nice--an understated classic. To most people who look at it--they probably think "Oh--one of those Army guns", but to the rest of us, it's a sweet looking and high performance classic--a refined history lesson, one perhaps justifiably deserving the term: "a work of art".

Looks very nice and go shoot another 500 rounds thru it to insure it works great. I shot 2000 rounds thru my Springfield 1911 before I carried it CCW. All Guns need to work with no issues before you stake your life on any one of them.
