My new Kimber SOLO CDP
Well I did it I went back to my LGS and bought the SOLO CDP today. I ended up paying $1125 OTD. I got it home and ran 75 rounds of 147gr HP ammo and not one single problem yet. I will shoot more tomorrow and hopefully have same results. They just got it in yesterday and it is supposed to be the new production run, so I hope it is good to go. I really like it so far, and will carry it if no problems arise after another couple hundred rounds and I get a holster and some extra mags. Here are a couple of pics.

Congrats on the new Kimber. I really like the solo and wish I could find one locally. Sooner or later I'll add one to my stable too.

Bought my wife the Kimber Solo Stainless a couple of weeks ago and a few boxes of the Golden Sabre 124g+P rounds to run through it whenever I get home.

Well between storms today I put another 150 rounds down the pipe of my new SOLO. So far not one malfuction of any type what so ever. I shot 124gr and 147gr HP and some flat nose ball ammo, it functioned great. The recoil is snappy as RH45 said but very manageable, the little gun points well and feels pretty good in hand. I would like to find a mag with a pinky extension on it to try though. I gave it a good cleaning after I shot and will try to put another 50 down the pipe tomorrow, if no problems happen and when I get my Silent Thunder holster in I will start to carry it, I am going to carry the 147gr HP ammo, seems to like it. The little pistol is fairly accurate, not a tack driver put plenty accurate for SD situations. Overall I am very impressed with the little pistol, although for the price they should come with 2 mags. Like I said based on this particular pistol I would highly recommend it so far, but your milage may vary with the next one. I hope this little review helps out.

It came with one mag? Is that how it has been since the Solo came out or just this model?
